Running a biscuit and confectionery company in Nigeria meant Sameer and Neena saw first-hand the excessive industrial and chemical processes involved in refining white sugar. Was this really the right way to make sweet snacks?

​Then whilst on a family road trip across Italy, Sameer grew frustrated that every service station only offered stacks of sugary sweets and chocolate that would do no good for him and his family.
